Overview
Otter Products is looking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager to join our Human Resources (AKA Otter Relations) team in Fort Collins, CO. This position is on a hybrid schedule and can work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
As the Manager of Otter Relations, you will lead the execution of core human resources (we call it Otter Relations) functions including but not limited to employee relations, recruiting and onboarding, compensation administration, learning and development support, and project execution. This HR Manager will have a team of approximately 5-7 individuals. Additionally, the HR manager has to monitor the HR department’s practical efficiency and formulate strategies to improve it, while partnering with our Total Rewards and Organizational Development leaders to provide holistic support across the business.

Essential Duties |
Responsibilities
- Oversee execution of human resources policies and programs, which may include recruitment and onboarding, training and career development, employee relations, and compensation administration
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assists line managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations.
- Answers employee/candidate questions about HR policies and offerings.
- Designs, implements and monitors a variety of human resource programs. Anticipates and plans for short-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management
- Provides leadership to professional staff across a variety of human resource functional specialties including HR Generalists, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, & Learning and Development.
- Is a mentor for HR Generalists in investigations and involuntary termination practices.
- Accountable for the performance and results of multiple related units.
- Executes on large companywide projects such as talent calibration and pay for performance.
- Owns the onboarding experience for new employees.
- Develops departmental plans, including business and/or organizational priorities.
- Works with the business to execute on workforce planning initiatives.
- Controls resources and policy formation in area of responsibility.
- Administers personnel and employee relations programs.
- Policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less).
- Responsible for managing or performing work across multiple Human Resources sub-families including:
- General HR program/policy development, administration, and compliance (Including investigations)
- Employee separations and records maintenance
- Employee relations and communications
- Business consulting and coaching
- Recruiting, onboarding, and orientation
- Performance management and support
- Learning & Development support
- Support and maintain a positive safety culture by being an active leader in all safety program initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
