    Brendle Group seeks a Director of People & Communications with 11-14+ years of relevant experience to join our team, in pursuit of our company mission to accelerate equitable solutions to address the climate crisis. This position is being placed in tandem with the related job opening for a Director of Operations. Both are exciting new positions at Brendle Group, created as part of a thoughtful and holistic organizational and change management strategy that structures us for growth, team resilience, and continued long-term success as a people centered, impact-driven organization known for our operational excellence and strong brand.

    With offices in Fort Collins, CO and Denver, CO, we would prefer a Colorado-based candidate to support our local and regional employees and customers. We offer flexible hybrid policies for working from home.     This is a leadership role for a multi-dimensional professional who has some combination of experience in the following areas: human resources, change management, organization development, communications, and marketing.

    This position serves as part of a 5-member management team and reports to the President of the company.

    Duties/Functions

    We have created this unique leadership role that leads a combination of internal- and external-facing functions. The primary emphasis is on the People & Culture responsibilities listed below. However, the position also includes supervising our Communications & Marketing and Community Engagement staff. Both of these
    functions provide externally-facing billable services to our clients and as such, this role will require some capacities as a consultant.

     People & Culture
    o Own and serve as leader and strategist for the people side of the business, including attracting talent, team culture and development, employee policies, and performance management - ensuring that Brendle Group can attract and retain top talent in alignment with our justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) values
    o Collaborate with functional managers in managing the entire employee life cycle
    o Collaborate with functional managers in embedding JEDI values into our company culture and ensuring that Brendle Group stays accountable to its JEDI goals

     Strategy & Organizational Success
    o Work with President and serve on Management Team to support Strategic Planning, Continuity, Business Development, Consulting Delivery, and other cross-functional efforts
    o Participate on Management Team, collaborating with peers to develop and implement strategic plans, proactively anticipate and solve organizational and cross-functional issues, implement agreed upon objectives, and fulfill other responsibilities to guide the organization to success

     Functional Team Management
    o Lead our People & Communications functional team (one of five teams) by providing topical leadership (setting and implementing strategic expectations and quality standards, staying abreast of industry trends, and providing oversight) and managing the employee life cycle for this functional area and the organization - to ensure that our growing consulting firm is resilient, future-proof, and in step with industry best practices and workforce needs
    o Supervise existing and future members of the People & Communications Team

     Communications & Marketing
    o Oversee communications and marketing efforts as they relate to Brendle Group market presence and in support of business development efforts
    o Oversee marketing and communications-related services that we provide our clients
    o Drive and support change management initiatives, both internally and externally, as part of client-facing projects
    o Drive creative initiatives that support a cohesive internal and external brand image - including intentional messaging for our diverse stakeholder groups - that incorporates our JEDI focus

     Community Engagement
    o Oversee community outreach and engagement activities as part of our client-facing projects. This is a growing aspect of our business that requires grounding in community engagement principles and frameworks
    o Hone our community engagement delivery model, with an emphasis on scaling and coordination of community-based activities and measuring results of these activities

    Requirements Required Qualifications and Experience
     11-14+ years of combined experience in human resources, talent acquisition and development, change management, communications and/or marketing
     Demonstrated results in recruitment and talent acquisition with an emphasis on JEDI
     Demonstrated skills in translating equity principles into operational practices
     Demonstrated skills in collaboration, relationship building, and building cohesion and an environment of trust
     Demonstrated ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
     4-year degree with emphasis on some combination of human resources, organization development, communications/marketing or business/people operations; applicable alternative experience could be considered
     Strong writing, verbal communication, and facilitation skills
     We are a Microsoft™ Enterprise and expect proficiency in Office, SharePoint, Teams, and other collaboration tools

    Preferred Qualifications and Experience
     Discipline-specific certification(s) (e.g., SPHR, GPHR, CCMP, IAP2, PCM)
     Entrepreneurial experience associated with developing and growing a positive and strong culture
     Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and programs
     Experience working in a consulting environment, including project management, monitoring, and reporting
     Proven ability to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies in internal processes and procedures

      Salary Range  $124,800 to $187,500 per year
