    Colorado State University’s Division of Human Resources is hiring an Associate Director, Talent Acquisition! The Associate Director is an exciting and dynamic opportunity within our newly established Talent Acquisition team, as this position is responsible for leading the university’s talent acquisition strategy and initiatives. In this pivotal role, the focus is on developing and implementing innovative and inclusive recruitment and sourcing strategies to attract and retain a talented and diverse workforce across various academic and administrative departments. The Associate Director will collaborate closely with university stakeholders to understand hiring needs, ensure compliance with policies and regulations, and drive candidate experience.

    Essential Duties

    Develop and Execute Talent Acquisition Strategy

    • Design and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the university’s goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop proactive recruitment plans.
    • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance recruitment strategies and attract diverse, talented candidates.
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
    • Promote diversity and inclusion in hiring practices by implementing strategies to attract candidates from underrepresented groups.
    • Monitor and report on recruitment metrics related to diversity and develop initiatives to enhance diversity recruitment efforts.
    • Oversee the selection and assessment process, including the design and implementation of effective interview processes, assessments, and candidate evaluation methods.
    • Develop and maintain a compelling employer brand to attract talented and diverse individuals to the university.
    • Collaborate with HR and campus partners to create engaging recruitment materials and enhance the university’s online presence.
    • Oversee relationships with external partners and vendors, negotiating contracts and evaluating effectiveness.

    Recruitment Planning and Execution

    • Partner with hiring managers to set candidate criteria, and determine appropriate recruitment channels.
    • Lead the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and evaluating candidates.
    • Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to attract diverse and high-quality candidate pools through social media, networking, and job boards, to attract talented and diverse individuals.
    • Ensure a positive and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
    • Coordinate and participate in recruitment events, career fairs, and campus visits to engage with potential candidates.

    Team Leadership

    • Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, support, and performance management to direct reports.
    • Promote and maintain a culture of high productivity and comprehensive and current understanding of search process, DEI, and equal opportunity principles.

    Compliance

    • Stay updated on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all recruitment and hiring practices. Implement best practices for diversity, equity, and inclusion in hiring.
    Skills, Education & Other

    Required Job Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field and at least 7 years of Talent Acquisition experience.
    • In-depth knowledge of recruitment best practices, including sourcing strategies, candidate assessment, and interview techniques.
    • Experience developing and executing innovative talent acquisition strategies designed to attract talented and diverse employees.
    • Reflecting departmental and institutional values, demonstrates a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment practices with prior experience implementing strategies to reach underrepresented candidates from diverse backgrounds.
    • Experience developing, leading, and mentoring a team of recruiters and talent acquisition professionals.
    • Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment that governs talent acquisition work, including state and federal employment and wage and hour laws.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration at all levels of the organization.

    Preferred Job Qualifications

    • Advanced degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
    • Experience enhancing an organization’s reputation as an employer of choice through branding and marketing initiatives.
    • Experience building professional networks and successful partnerships with external organizations and agencies.
    • Proficiency in utilizing recruitment metrics and quantitative and qualitative analytics to assess the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts and make data-driven decisions.
    • Motivated to make a meaningful impact, sharing CSU’s vision of change and commitment to excellence.
    • Experience championing bold ideas and strategies persistently
    • Experience leading a team of talent acquisition professionals within a university, large enterprise, or similarly complex setting.
    • Success in implementing change in an organization.
    • Familiarity with various recruiting tools and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
    • SHRM-S/CP, or equivalent.

    Salary Range

    $120,000 - $130,000 Annually
