    About the Program

“Culture fit” is a widely used, and often misunderstood, concept in hiring. This thought-provoking session will challenge HR professionals to take a deeper look at how this criterion shapes organizational culture, impacts hiring decisions, and potentially reinforces bias.

Through real-life scenarios and interactive discussion, participants will explore:

    • When “fit” supports alignment versus when it excludes valuable diversity

    • The ethical implications of prioritizing sameness over difference

    • HR’s responsibility in navigating the tension between culture and inclusion

    • Strategies to move from hiring for “fit” to hiring for “culture add” in Northern Colorado workplaces

    Why Attend:
If your organization values inclusion, innovation, and ethical leadership, this session is for you. You’ll walk away with new insights, practical strategies, and a more critical lens on one of HR’s most common practices — helping you champion a culture that welcomes difference instead of eliminating it.
