    About the Program

How to recognize someone who might be living with dementia and how to interact in ways that produces meaningful engagement...Takes the fear and stigma out of dementia, sharing my dad's story and the story of what we are doing in the community.   Since almost 1/3 of people in the workforce are in caregiving roles and those caring for people with dementia are at higher risk for depression, this is a timely topic for anyone in the community.

    About the Presenter

    Cyndy Hunt Luzinski, MS, RN

Cyndy Hunt Luzinski is an advanced practice nurse, certified dementia practitioner and the founder and executive director of the nonprofit organization, Dementia Together, formerly "Dementia-Friendly Communities of Northern Colorado." Cyndy is the only accredited SPECAL coach in North America, credentialed through the Contented Dementia Trust in England where she is still in extensive training as a SPECAL practitioner.
She serves on the North American Dementia Action Alliance optimizing well-being work team, is an Eden Alternative associate, and a strong advocate for community collaboration, working with others to make "living well with dementia" the expectation and not the exception.
