    Everyone who works wants a job that they find interesting; that they like.  They want to be appreciated for their contribution, their efforts, and their successes.  They want to be involved in decisions that impact them and their company.  They want a big picture that they can be proud of.  And they want a boss who gets all that.  Organizations that do not provide these things can turn good people into apathetic employees who are more focused on what they get out of the employment relationship, than finding fulfillment in what they contribute.  Your best team members are those who see the vision, get the mission, and live the values of your organization.  When you find aligned people, and are constantly enlisting, envisioning, and engaging them, they will tend to think more like owners than entitled employees.

    Learning objectives:

    •        How to create an enviable work culture that people want to be part of;
    •        How to increase employee involvement and engagement;
    •        How to determine the kinds of business realities leaders should involve employees in;
    •        How to communicate best with employees; and
    •        When to utilize outside resources;

    Mark Weaver consults with clients throughout the region on strategic initiatives and people strategies.  His approach is a unique blend of HR, Operations, and Quality.  Mark got his start understanding how to enlist, envision, and engage passionate people working for Quality Guru and Best-Selling Author Philip Crosby.  Mark has created HR programs that have won state and national awards, been featured in local and national press, spoken at state and national conferences, and allowed him to testify before state and federal Congressional committees.  Mark’s work was featured in the November 2012 edition of HR Magazine in their cover article on “Business Transformations.”
