This is a very simple but powerful activity that illustrates how communication flow in our organizations can cripple productivity and affect personal relationships.
While engaging the audience throughout this activity, the audience does not know the objective of the activity. The impact is more powerful when the audience is subjected to the activities and come up with the learning objectives in conversation.

1- Work is less productive when information isn’t shared consistently with all team players.
2- The degree that a breakdown in communication can affect a relationship. In the absence of developing an effective relationship beforehand, wrong assumptions can be made and jeopardize that relationship.
3- People will do what they are instructed, even when it is ineffective.
4- It is harder to be successful with a task when there is information missing.
5- How easily a challenge in communication translates into feelings and emotions! The 3, 4, and 5 positions felt excited, then frustrated, then angry, and finally, “checked out”. And in a typical organization, it is these positions that are representing your company to your customer base!
